Particles Generator

Post by Sewie »

A follow up on this thread;
I think the Particle Generator in the FX bin would be a lot easier to use if it was able to use the active custombrushes and animated custombrushesin the open document.
Much like the Motion > Keyframe option can. So that you don't have to export your brushes in a different format first and then import them back again, which is a bit cumbersome.

But you can only have ONE custombrush, and usually you have several particles with different brushes.
And it's an FX, meaning you should get back the same effect when you relauch TVP, which won't be the case when using the CB (OK, that's some kind of 'bug' in the keyframer :) )
Quicktime is DEAD. Get over it and move on !

Ah, that makes sense. But maybe that's another argument for custombrush bins that can be saved (or exported), and maybe have the option to name (and rename) the brushes in the bin...? So you can refer to different brushes in your bin when using the Particles FX (or any other FX). I'm just thinking along because I really believe that these FX should be a lot more intuitive to use. I find them quite complicated at the moment.
