The Drawing Recorder

Post by Sewie »

Hello dear TVP friends,

Is it possible, when using the drawing recorder, to have it not record the background color?
In other words; is it possible to record with transparency so that I could use the recording on top of another layer in some other project?

Yes, press ctrl when you start the recording.

Great, thanks!
Please, put that in the manual. It's not in there and it is quite an important bit of information, I find.

Sewie,

Another drawing record option (with transparent background) is the AutoPaint effect in the FX Stack window, especially when using the Stroke>>Size variable, which lets you designate the start and end of a stroke as it moves along a path... Powerful.

I see. That's another great option for animating strokes (or ants).
Thanks, Sven.

I've just played a bit more with and I see many more possibilities with this FX.
Great option for recording live motion of your stylus (or mouse) as well. Powerful indeed!
