Grid Panel defaults
Re: Grid Panel defaults
You need to turn the grid off (in the top menu) and close the panel. If you then turn the grid on again it will reset to 'snap'.

Re: Grid Panel defaults
AHA! I never use that button at the top but either the menu in the DISPLAY tab of the project panel or a key command Grid: Display. If you give it a key command you will have it just the way you want it to be.

Re: Grid Panel defaults
Ah. Thanks, Paul!
But it's confusing to have all those options to turn the grid on behave so differently. So my feature request is now to change the behaviour of the top menu button so that it is the same as the other options. No reset to 'snap=on', please.

Re: Grid Panel defaults
I agree -the grid button in the menu panel should only affect the Show option of the Grid Panel

Re: Grid Panel defaults
+1
I have pestered against this issue about 2 years ago now, but without success,
and my solution was the one mentioned by Paul :
never using the grid icon of the main menu,
but only a shortkey [G] set to Grid: Display (instead of Grid: Toggle, the défault shortcut).
