color wheel

Post by chatbraque »

… and an other little one…

As long as i'm concerned (and I guess I am)… I think that the "color wheel" is the best "color picker" (?!)
… especially because it allows to access the "complementary colors" ('additional" ??… its "complémentaires" in french)
that I'm using a lot for warming up shadows… getting the attention focused on a point by the way of the colors and not using "contrast"…
etc…
And, It's easier to get the right comp. color with the color wheel… just by clicking the opposite side of the circle…

Will it be difficult to implement ?

(Je poste la photo d'un chat implorant, ou c'est même pas la peine ? )

The TVP color picker is better then what photoshop has and besides...
the color variations panel offers the complementary color.

Your right !… merci ! (I'm not aware of all the possibilities  )
… then ! it's maybe only a matter of "changing habits" (never easy :D )
… but, with the color wheel, the comp-colors will be on the very same panel and will come very handy…

"feature request" still valid ?!

Any program that doesnt have a color wheel is not for pro use.The wheel is the scientific reference for complimentary color usage plus , which is basic to Art. Photoshop for years up until about version 11 to 12 left it out deliberately. Painter had it from about version 1. For some reason Adobe lent a deft ear to user request or complaints.

I f you dont believe me check with the Deviant Art people who desperately tried to advise people how to patch in their own reference color wheel...Itss a great mystery the absence or lack of the color wheel in Photoshop 1-11.
