I want to make a custom panel of the Free CutBrush.

Post by arche75 »

The 'Free CutBrush' tool have two options of 'Copy' and 'Cut'.
I maked the 'Free CutBrush' panel. In this panel there are two icons that I maked.
I want to make one is 'Copy' option and the other is 'Cut' option.
What should I do with this?
I don't know about George Scripts.
I'm in trouble and would appreciate your help.

well, not sure to answer straightly at your question,
but personnaly I would do this :
Instead of the cutbrush tools, use one (or more) selection tool(s) to define your brush area (rectangle, freehand, ...) ,
then click on one of the 2 buttons of your "cutbrush" custom panel :
"Copy" (first) button commands = Shape Select / Copy to CustomBrush + Tools/Toggle Stencil,
"Cut" (second) button commands = Shape Select / Cut to CustomBrush + Tools/Toggle Stencil.

maybe it will help you, ... or not . :)

Hi~ ZigOtto
Thank you your quick reply.
The 'selection tools' is similar to the 'free cutbrush' but it is some different.
I use the free cutbrush tool(copy and cut options) often.
I'd rather use the free cutbrush.
Every time I use this tool, It's really uncomfortable to select 'copy' or 'cut' options.
I want to use this tool comfortably.

imo, the freehand selection + one shortkey to "Copy" and another shortkey to "Cut" could do the job properly,
but if you want to keep your habit and stay using the free cutbrush tool, why not set it to "Cut" mode,
and when you want it in "Copy" mode, just hit (for "Undo"), the cut area will be restaured instantly.

that said, if you think we need a couple of commands to set the copy/cut modes, you can post your request
in the appropriated section. :)

I use LMB to copy and RMB to cut. Usually I do this with my pen's rocker switch (when cutting freehand) and mouse buttons when working with mouse.
