TVP 951 AnimatorPanel: Split Project

Post by Klaus Hoefs »

In TVP 951 - Animator Panel:
the Split Project-button doesn't work (for me).

Not in Clip-view and not in Project Tab -view.

(The new Appendix says it should " cut a clip " and putting following images in the next clip.)

Anyone else ???

As an alternative I used and it worked:

Top Menu/ Clip / Split Clip

You can't split a clip in the Project view because you can't pinpoint where the split would be (within an icon). The way you did it is the correct way.

I also tried it with the mentioned button ( in the Animator Panel, as descriped in Appendix page 2, #2) in the clip-view. Nothing happened...

So does this button anything ?

You found another bug which you can fix by yourself if you wish. That button has the wrong (non-existing) command. Change it in Edit to:
Key:Project: Clip: Split
I never noticed that button before

I just discovered that you actually can split a clip in the Project mode if you select the timeline mode (fourth button just under the word "Project".
Using the "Z" zoom button you can locate the clip you want to split and making a good guess where you want the split to be, cut it.

I've tried typing in that script and I still can't get the button to work. Am I doing it wrong?

Hi Jasper,

Did you update your software ? You are in a topic about the 9.5.1 version, while we are currently in the 9.5.16.

Regards,
Fabrice.

Yes, I have 9.5.16
I tried to copy and paste the script command for that button, but it didn't work.
Any suggestions?

hmm, it's strange.
Maybe the animator panel was not refreshed when updating your software, because by default TVP Animation try to keep your current config and panels.

Please create a new configuration from the "start panel" and try again.
(to get the "start panel", please hit the control key just after you have double clicked on the software icon.)
