Hi Ahmed! This is a great community, very helpful if you get stuck on things. Best part is you get to talk to the actual people working on the product!

Welcome Ahmed. It is indeed a warm place to be.
And your English is just fine: There are some here who would love to have your level :)
I also like your reasons for moving away from 3D.
The removal of one dimension is rewarded with simplicity of access to creativity.
Your imagination now has a better chance to unleash it's abstract expression!
Enjoy

How do you do ?…
Yes! it's a great place, inhabited with wierd* but nice animals…
… animals that allows you to drink the precious milk of knowledges "straight from the udder"… :shock:
(Oups !… je n'ai quand même pas écris ça ???) :oops: :oops:

I get the same feeling about 3D… I'm a newbie with that "technique" too, I created a few characters, did the boning and rigging (to see what it was about)… animated it…
… it's very mechanical, animating is fun, but very long… almost longer than drawing, and less "créatif" (even if more "accurate")
… anyway, 3D has very few to do with drawing :D
(and I love drawing and painting)

I'm playing around with TVP now… more fun, but I'm far to be "handy" with the software
( ça se dit : "handy" ? :shock: )

* Pink !!! what a tacky colour !… :D :D :D

… chatbraque the "halouf"

Yikes!!! I sure hope not! The theatrical release is scheduled for Sept 1st in NY and LA and then in art theaters throughout the rest of the world. I suspect DVDs will be available before the end of next year, but the distribution plans are totally out of my hands and all I can do is sit tight and watch if those who have our work in their control will botch it up or not.
