so ... where is it? Off the Pegs?
so ... where is it? Off the Pegs?
I just installed TVP 9.5.11 and wanted to try that new feature (since I asked for it), but I can't find it! It's not mentioned in the manual, and I also found no description or how-to in the forum. I created some drawings, opened the light table - and found no tool to grab and reposition the images. Since others seemed to have used it already, I feel quite stupid.

This is how my LT panel looks like. And it's definitely the new TVP version ...

Can you see the little X button ?
Now click on a square, just near to the X =)

Re: so ... where is it? Off the Pegs?
OK, the empty square is a button. It gives me the familiar pan handles, and I'm able to shift and rotate and scale drawing A and C. Now how do I draw in frame B while A and C are off the pegs? Even when I close the LT panel, the pan handles remain, and I'm not able to draw. Clicking the X resets everything.

I think the problem is that the feature is there , but no one knows how to access it or how it works except the beta testers who have seen it under development and discussed it in the beta forum.
A tutorial would be helpful .

just as usually for drawing, select the dawing tool you want, and draw. (you have to keep the LT enable to see Off-Pegs).slowtiger wrote:... Now how do I draw in frame B while A and C are off the pegs?

Markus, after you reposition the drawing you have clicked under, hit enter and it'll stay in that position until you hit the X. IMPORTANT: don't forget to hit X before you go on to other frames to draw because all will still be out of position.

Thx Paul! It was the "hit Enter" bit that was missing.
Works like a charm now ... but still I wonder how anybody found out how to use this without any explanation. Did I miss some document?

I've begun to complete the appendix with that feature, but I had to stop it for several reasons.D.T. Nethery wrote:A tutorial would be helpful .

What we really need is a video tutorial showing the Off The Pegs inbetween function .Elodie wrote:I've begun to complete the appendix with that feature, but I had to stop it for several reasons.D.T. Nethery wrote:A tutorial would be helpful .

I would offer to do it , but I have been snowed under with my day job responsibilities at the university since the semester started .
(Also I have no access to my tablet at the moment. I hope to have it back soon.)
I still intend to get around to it , but don't want to make a promise I can not fulfill.
This screen shot from the Newsletter looked like someone started a tutorial, yes ? ---
