"memory"

Post by ten_zero »

This animation is a work in " One day of Japan, after nuclear war".
Junichi Yamamoto, an amateur animation writer in Japan produced.

I cannot come to like full "decoration" 3D animation movie that only the technology was forward without the content.

However, this 2D (with hand writing) animation with 3D animation (by Blender) movie is to be a uniting work in good shape the theme that author appeals for.

By the way, what does animation that makes "Lost memory or experience" a theme like "Memory" and The Big-O, have in your country?

Spoiler : My original text, written in Japanese. :

The short movie was really moving. The animation is sometimes a little rigid and texture could be better, but it was efficient.

I love the music, it reminds me Final Fantasy IX musics ^^

In fact, it's not the only message of S.T.A.L.K.E.R: the main caracter has also lost his memory.
However, there is no video tape in the game with some part of daily life before the Tchernobyl explosion. Only a few informations on a PDA.

Some documentaries, with real pictures from the past are much interesting/realistic about the daily life after and before the explosion.

No, it's a really good video game (a FPS/RPG => First person shooter / Role playing game) about an amnesic guy who becomes a missionary in the Chernobyl city, after the atomic explosion. And because it's a very radioactive place, there are frequently very strange things... (zombies, "anomalies", monsters... you know :D)

One of the best interest of this game is : all the "NPC" (no playable characters) and the monsters have their "own life". I mean, sometimes there will be many zombie-dogs and sometimes, even if it's the exactly same place (even if you've just lost and load the game to your previous save) : there will be nobody, because the dogs has gone somewhere else... So the game can be totally unpredictable.

Rockband : that's a real funny game. This opening video is well animated : I like the mix between 2D and 3D, in particular at the end. Thanks for sharing this Ten Zéro =)

John Lennon's poignant line drawings, known to many around the globe, are going to spring to life as they make their animated debut in the upcoming video for the legendary musician's "I'm Losing You" track from the four-CD boxed set The John Lennon Anthology. "I'm Losing You" features Rick Nielsen on guitar and Bun E. Carlos on drums, (from Cheap Trick) and bassist Tony Levin (from King Crimson), each of whom played on the original version of the song with Lennon in 1980. In a playful and whimsical fashion, well known animator David Spafford has extended upon Lennon's original drawings, making them come to life as they float through and interact with the musicians 1998 live performance.
