CutBrush problem - Please help !

Post by dan »

Hi Guys !
TVPaint is very cool application !
I used to work in Mirage, and it seems like TVPaint is... Mirage + MORE POWER that's very cool.

I have a problem in TVPaint Animation that I don't have in Mirage, I wonder if it's fixable, the problem is:

I draw a shape using my favorit tool - PenBrush, I draw only the outline of the character or shape I want.
Then when I use the Reactangle CutBrush (or any other CutBrush)
it gives me VERY PIXELISH shape, (Even that the Antialiasing is checked).

So I clicked on the SubPixel option checked it, but this time it is TOO SMOOTH ! it's like very blury compare to the Original shape I just cut from.

In Mirage when I use the CutBrushes I get 1:1 Ratio from the original so it's Not Pixelish, and not Too Smooth compare to the original shape I cut from.
So in Mirage it looks perfect, how come in TVPaint it's not ? :?:

Is there a way to fix this problem inside TVPaint ? or it's a bug ? :?:

Thanks !

It is a known issue, and it is a bug. Even though I dont personally have the problem, it has been reported as a bug.

I'm sure someone from TVP will post once its been fixed :)

Thanks for the fast reply !

I wonder if it will be fixed as Patch with more Bug-Fix related, or we will have to wait to the next version of TVP...

It might be a patch, most probably just download the whole demo again once theyve fixed it (and probably some other things on a short list) - the TVP crew are just getting back to the office Monday, so we'll wait and see :) But definitly before the next Version of TVP!!!

Dan,
Is this the problem you were talking about?

Evar,
How come you don't have this problem?

I hope this resolves soon. It's probably my only complaint with tvpaint as of yet!
