It's definitely not a graphics card problem.
What is the project resolution ?
Have you trying to draw with the mouse, same problem or only with the wacom ?

I have exactly the same graphics card. Only difference is I don't have the mirror on. Latest version of tvp installed. I think the problem is in the wacom. Try to install the drivers again.

Resolution of the projects during lesson were 720X576 and 3000X576 the problem occurred in both

Forgot to try with the mouse.... i'll ask Roderique if he can test with mouse on monday
do you maybe have some follow up steps i can suggest him?
what if it also happens with the mouse / what if with the mouse it works normal (definately not gonna do my lessons with the mouse! :P )?

To me it seems that the wacom drivers are not the problem, because we tried both a CTE4 tablet and an Intuos3, both with their latest driver and with both wacoms we had the problem.
(while both worked normal in Photoshop.)

Its a classroom with 16 identical systems and they all have this problem.

There is the same problem with tablet PC, windows wait to see if the mouse doesn't move and simulate a right click. This behavior can be inactivate.
Try to see if there is no utilities software installed in the system ( Antivirus, Handwriting recognition ... )

from http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.ph ... stcount=21
The reason why it is lagging on my friends' computer is because of the Double Click Distance.

Go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES > PEN TABLET > DOUBLE CLICK DISTANCE
AND REDUCE THE SLIDER TO EITHER MEDIUM, SMALL OR IN BETWEEN.

It seems what is happening is that when drawing / using pen tool / etc in Photoshop CS3, if the Double Click Distance is set too high in the preferences Photoshop seems to think you're trying to double click, and loads like it's looking for something, creating the lag. Reduce the slider and the problem disappears.

i'll ask Roderique to check this.
Though its strange that CS3 is not affected.

I don't have a mac, but on Windows, if you enable the tabletPC tools it enables pen flicks recognition also, which means that the OS is waiting fto calculate your pen clicks-motion in order to decide whether it was to trigger a function, or to just use the pen for drawing. I had it once and it resulted in such behavior as you describe. CS3 is not bhaving this way because CS3 has a setting to control the time between clicks, so it overrides the setting in the OS.
So check if there's no such fucntion in OSX that registers pen gestures - and turn it off is so.
also, I would try to install previous version (or even 2) of the wacom drivers. Something they fix one thing but break another.

yes, it is for the intuos line. And this driver is indeed installed.
But these machines have the old CTE4 wacom
and its latest driver is 5.1.1-1

both drivers are installed

We spent all this morning trying to understand this phenomenon.
Here it does happen on Elodie's Mac but not on mine.

Logging all the tablet messages which reach TVPA, all I can say for now is the missing samples (cause of the straight line at the start of each stroke) never reach TVPA !
So they either get eaten up by another app (like Ink), or they just never existed (driver problem).

Not so sure it is a wacom problem, but it IS a problem with some other piece of software installed on the computer.

It may be the wacom driver, it may be Ink, or it may be something else...

But it IS an installed software on the affected computers.

Same problem on the iMac here with a vistablet, It's not a wacom driver problem.
But no problem on my old MacBook Pro 10.5 and the MacPro

Hi,

I just tested all the suggestions here and to no effect. Ink is disabled, wacom settings have been changed but no effect whatsoever. Further investigation is necessary
