sketch panel bugs? and other tvp Questions

Post by CharlieC »

i'm collecting a list of TVP 8.6.2 questions together as i'm settling into a workflow, so thanks in advance to all you who view and respond.

1) love the sketch panel of course, but just started noticing this bug-
when using the 'tint' brushes and the 'magic eraser' buttons, (which are awesome by the way), they work fine on the active frame, but after advancing to the next frame, they act like a sort of panto brush, or maybe merge, as that is the mode they're in to function. they seem to erase or tint incorrectly and paint in info from another frame. so i have to re-select the button each time i advance to the next frame in the timeline. anyone else notice this?

2)is there a preference setting some where to, when using a custom brush, automatically keep the sub pixel/anti-aliasing checkbox checked? i never want to use a low res custom brush.

3) i'm setting up more key shortcuts and i'm wondering about the row of #'s that by default pan the frame in the project window around in different directions: when i assign other actions to 'cmd' and one of those numbers i still get the panning function, like the 'cmd' button doesn't do anything.

4) and actions i'm looking for but haven't found in the list yet:

A) like the keyboard shortcut action that rotates the 'animation disk', is there one to scroll/pan the image around like the little 'pan around the project' button in the project window?

B) is there an action to toggle on/off the light table function for all the layers at a time, not just the current layer?

C) how 'bout an action to toggle visibility on/off the current layer?

D) here's a wish list one; (maybe it's already in the newest tvp versions): a solo button as in After Effects, so if you have a lot of layers on, you can select just the layers you want visible, instead of turning off all the layers you want invisible.

E) seem to remember an action to toggle on/off a selection without deleting it, but can't find it in the list now; anyone remember what that one is called.

thanks again for reading, and perhaps responding,
charlie
