... but I can't for the life of me remember how to show the frame count in the timeline rather than the time... I know I have answered this very question before here but can't seem to find it (maybe it was on the Bauhaus site).

bottom line in the layer window (beneath the color check boxes) Toggle button: Frame/TimeCode.
