work/view @ 2 different resolutions live

Post by CharlieC »

hello all-

i'm doing something new to me: creating small sprites/images for a video game. they will usually be seen at 40x40 pixels, with the possibility to enlarge them to 80x80 during game play. my question: can anyone think of a way for me to work on them in one window at their larger 80x80 size at best detail, while simultaneously viewing a second window where they're reduced to 40x40, so i can fine tune the colored pixels live for best readability at both sizes.

ideas?

thanks
Charlie C

Yes this works perfectly and is exactly what you need.
Be sure though to have Full screen mode switched off (monitor icon in the menu bar)

thanks for the quick replies-

your suggestion will be helpful; for some reason i haven't used that function before.
but 'm thinking there's another factor involved.
the zoom window reduces the pixels visually, not numerically, no? so if i'm working in a project that is 80x80 pixels, a new zoom window could show me 80x80 tinier pixels if i zoom out. what i'd like to see is an additional view simultaneously lowered in resolution to 40x40 so i can see how the details get simplified.

you can set up the stack with the mosaicFX at 2x2 and preview it regularly
