[Jesoped]

Hi TVPainters,

Here is a little piece of animation I did using TVP. This is actually my very first animation made using the software, and I have to say that the quality of the program is something that to me is extremely satisfying! It is 100% digital, even the concept/character design was made in TVP. The only thing that made it on paper was a 5 second doodle at the size of a thumb. ; )

I like the mouth moves at the beginning, like the character is holding his breath with a smile.
And I like the bubbly trail. Did you use the Particle generator with an animated brush for this (or animated sequence)?

the bubbles look like they could have been be done with the particle FX, if so it was done really good, they have a nice, very cartoony feel (which is not too easy to achieve).

Thanks for the positive comments : ) All in all it took me about a month and a half, going back and forth with the customer getting the constructive feedback, so both parties where satisfied. I had close to absolute creative freespace with this one, and during the middle of production i came up with the signal animation (which appears right after the molecule flies through the image) to give the opening shot a graphic contrast. The customer liked the idea very much, and so it became so. I really appreciate working with people who are willing to try out new things, and who are not intimidated to think outside the box.

All of the coloured bubbles shooting out of its rear is all done by hand - no particle FX, just good old craftmanship.
