move a whole animatic layer

Post by torque »

dear folks,

how do I - simply - move a imported video footage, which is an animatic layer i suppose?

i just want to have the video, which is smaller than the project not in the middle but in in the lower left corner of the screen.

i know, selecting all frames and move them would be too easy.

another tvpaint riddle?

edit: with the "move selection"-option he does nothing.

edit2: haha its so funny.... everytime i want to give tvpaint another chance, the first thing i want to do absolutly doesnt work...

Yes, that's the "secret handshake" of TVP, and it had cost me weeks to get it.

Select one frame.
Use the Panning tool to shift the image where you want it to be. (Note: you must do this in one movement, without releasing and re-picking the image.)
Undo. (ctrl-Z).
Select all frames of that layer.
Re-Apply. (enter (not return!))
Now TVP should render all frames.

This sequence of actions is needed quite often and is always the same: do something in one frame, undo, select all frames, re-apply.

Dear Torque,

We are always ready to listen the all TVP users and to improve the software, please respect our work.
We ask money for upgrade, not for update or simple bugfix.

I´m sorry for offending you, I really respect your work!

maybe i got it wrong - do you publish updates for all the versions (8 and 9 or 10)? or does only the latest version get updates? because i got the hint a few times here to upgrade to version 9 to have some problems fixed. so i would have to pay to get basic things fixed or included, which would be strange.

kind regards,
marcus

Dear Torque,
actually Version 8 & 9 are updated each time a bug is found. This is totally free for customers since they have pay to have fully functional software.

For each version, one year after the official release a big update is released for free. This add some capabilities (often asked by users).

To the contrary, an upgrade is not free since it is a new version (7 [Mirage] to 8, 8 to 9, etc...). This upgrade is release with a special price in opposition to full price for new customers.
