Replacing colors [noob question, sorry]

Hi,

I'm trying to fine-tune colors in his final picture... What's the best way to go about it? Is the color replacement effect the only option?

This depends highly on what you want to do and the state your file is in right now.

Do you want to change only one colour at a time? Do you want to change the overall colour mood? Do you want to balance elements against each other in compositing?

Do you have only one layer now? Is every elemnt still on its own layer? Do you have flat colours or heavy use of gradients and textures?

It would help if you could post an example picture and explain what you want to achieve.
