Ideas to improve our message boards

I have inside information that there is a new cow on our block and she is Elodie. I also heard that one of her functions is to oversee the contents of our website features.

For starters I have these suggestions:

1. I'd like to get my announcements of new posts with the name of the poster and the first words of the message included.

2.I'd like to see some better flow for opening topics once I'm on line -- for instance it would be more practical if the forums would open on "New messages" instead of the list of the entire board.

3. I'd like to be able to click on " all messages read" from any thread.

Would anyone else care to contribute?
