Hi all...I am trying to import a config from my other PC, but I can't find the folder where all my configs are stored. I know they're in my PC because the opening screen shows them to me. I can't find them when I search for the folders by name.
I am using Windows Vista.
The TVPaint Manual says:
"By default, the configurations are located in the folder :
C:\Documents and Settings\your_name\Application Data\tvp animation 9 (pro)\
for Windows users"
...but Windows Vista doesn't have these folders anymore.
I looked in C:\Users\your_name\AppData\ but can't find TVPaint.
I have "Show hidden files and folders" turned ON in folder options.
Please help...this is driving me nuts. Thanks!

Hi Sherm
In vista, the folder is hidden.

Hi Herve...does that mean I can't import the other config? Is there a workaround?

Re: Need help importing Config folder from another PC
My guess is that you should be able to "copy configurations of another version" from your startup screen. Just point it through a network to your other PC and then you should have the current TVP place it in that hidden place. Or if you aren't networked, my guess is that you could copy your old configs to anywhere on your current HD and have the startup screen copy it from there.

Re: Need help importing Config folder from another PC
Hi Paul...I just did what you suggested and it works! --
Thank you for the help. ^_^
For the sake of the next person to struggle with this, here's what I did in excruciating detail:
I created a folder on my Vista PC called "My Configs" and then from the TVPaint startup screen i clicked the drop-down menu under "Configuration" and chose "Change Folder."
From "Change Folder" I chose my new "My Configs" folder, and then TVPaint created another folder within THAT called "tvp animation 9 pro." I then closed TVPaint.
I dropped my imported config folder into the new "tvp animation 9 pro" folder and restarted the TVPaint application. When it opened again, I was able to choose my imported config from the dropdown menu.
Happy New Year...

Glad to hear it works but I think you have to have TVP 9 -- not sure of this though.
