Where are lipsync.tvp and voice.mp3 files?
Where are lipsync.tvp and voice.mp3 files?
Greetings Animators!
I can't find the files lipsync.tvp and voice.mp3 that are mentioned on page 8-13 of the manual.
The manual says the files are in the Content sharing section of the forum, but I can't find them.
Where are they?
Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,
Is your question about the the x-sheet, which I cannot answer because I don't work with x-sheets, or is it about drawing in sync to sound in general? Are you importing (scanning) your drawings, or looking for a way to draw paperlessly to a sound track? Your question isn't too clear to me.

Paul:
Thanks for replying. Up in the middle of the night?
I am trying to do the tutorial on Page 8-13 of the manual. The illustrations show a project with various levels, including eyes, pupils, brows, face hair, mouth 4, mouth 3, mouth 2, mouth 1, jaw, and face color.
The purpose of the tutorial is to show how to sync a mouth to a prerecorded voice track. The manual mentions a file you can download from the Content Sharing section of the forum. But I can't find this file. It is called lipsync.tvp
Eventually I want to import scanned in mouth shapes into a project and sync them to a voice track.
Thanks for the help.

Not the middle of the night for me -- this is my beginning of the day time.
I was afraid that I might not be able to help you, but this is only because I don't work the way the tutorial wants you to.
I will upload a a lengthy piece of lip sync I finished just the other day and if you are interested in trying my way I'll be happy to assist. I'll get back with a link when my clip is on my FTP.

Here is the link:

I put into use TVP's Layer Notes in combination with the sound track, which is located at the top of the layer panel, TVP's instance system and the capability of having the use of extra "rooms" (that label frankly irks me).

Hi Chris,
It appears that some contents have been disappear during a forum update. We will create a sticky post with all projects of the user manual. Sounds will come later.
Stay tuned

Paul, it feels like you're near completion of the film. is it true?

Re: Where are lipsync.tvp and voice.mp3 files?
Yup, I sure am. That was the last scene leading into the credit titles, which still have to be decided upon. I am working on several touch ups right now of older scenes, which I should be finished with in just a few days. Then we have a couple of pickup recordings to do where a couple of Americanisms slipped into Christopher Plummer's dialogs, such as "elevator" instead of "lift" (he is Canadian, not British) one instance of entirely new copy, which will require an insert of a character to improve an existing scene ... that kind of stuff. But essentially if I were to die this minute, the film could be completed without me. So the drawing part took me two years and two months. My plan was to complete it in 2 1/2 years, which is just about what it'll come to with all the post production tasks yet to get completed (Sandra is still opaquing), we have to mix the sound tracks, filmout and film lab functions have to get done and that's about it.

Re: Where are lipsync.tvp and voice.mp3 files?
i, too, was going to try out your technique with the supplied 'lipsync.tvp' and 'voice.mp3' files, but i still don't see the latter in the 'contents and examples' download. i downloaded the software so i don't have the cdrom. did it get moved again?
thanks
thanks

Re: Where are lipsync.tvp and voice.mp3 files?
lipsynch.tvp is in the file "project" and there is not MP3 file.
ìf you are really interested in lips synch, I advise you to see the Mark Chong's tutorial about it.
