I have three requests for the multiplane camera.
1. It would be nice if the focusing distance could be locked to a layer, so that when the camera moves away from the layer, it still stays sharp as long as required . (In real life films, the camera stays focused on objects until the cameraman decides to focus on something else).
2. It would be nice if the focusing distance could be made magnetic. So that I don't have to zoom endlesly in the stageview to make sure the focus is right.
3. graph editors for all parameters.

i like these ideas, makes sense would be helpful
Re: multiplane camera requests
Yes, makes sense to me too.
The 3D software I have worked with before (Cinema 4D) had these functionalities and it made it very intuitive, and easy, to operate a (virtual) camera.
It would also be great to have the multiplane environment have more 3D capabilities, where you can (for instance) rotate around a layer (around the Z-axis) with your camera (like you can in After Effects). Or have a layer rotate around the Z-axis with the camera stationary.
It might not be something one would find very necessary in 2D-animation software but it would add extra possibilities for staging a scene.

Re: multiplane camera requests
I love the tvpaint multiplane, but the ability to rotate images and camera around the z axis would expand it's capabilities immensely. Hopefully this would also make it possible to add importing camera tracks from tracking programs like Syntheyes.
