layer opacity loss

Post by 2dbert »

When I merge two layers of which ones opacity was lowered and render the remaining layer out into a quicktime or avi, the opacity seems to be back at 100 per cent. It doesn´t show in the merged version, only in the qt or avi. Can I do something about that?
cheers, moz

Most codecs don't save the opacity...
You have to use one which support opacity, "AVI uncompressed" for example, and don't forget to set
TVP Animation to export in 32 bits in the export panel "Format" popup.
Quicktime is DEAD. Get over it and move on !
