Storyboard Software
If you're looking for a free application for storyboarding and script-writing, please take a look at CeltX. It's fantastic.

Re:
Wow... $900 for something that used to be done with pencil and paper...? I can see $50 - $150 for the convenience of digital drawing, simple compositing and creating animatics and doing some basic camera moves (like Bauhaus's storyboard product, which I used maybe once and thought was too complex)... but ToonBoom's product is way overpriced, if you ask me.Tantalus wrote:here a nice inspiration for some future feature requests:

You can't beat CeltX's price! I've been using CeltX for several years for writing out story treatments and scripts.

Haven't tried the toonboom product but am inclined to agree about this kind of price tag.
If it is anything like TBDigital Pro then it is getting far too complex to make it worthwhile leaving a pad of cheap paper for.

I still have an old copy of BoardMaster, which I think I paid $40 for. It does quite a bit, too!woody wrote:Haven't tried the toonboom product but am inclined to agree about this kind of price tag.

Re: Storyboard Software
also note that there's toon boom storyboard AND toon boom storyboard pro....2 applications
toonboom storyboard is $199 so it's far more affordable.

Re: Storyboard Software
I just downloaded Celtx,it looks very useful for me. And it's free. How bizar.guitartist wrote:If you're looking for a free application for storyboarding and script-writing, please take a look at CeltX. It's fantastic.

Edit.
I changed my mind. It's really not very fantastic. Not enough options etc. (no possibilities to cahnge the size of the pictures etc.)
It turned out not to be bizar at all. What was I thinking.

yes, it looks not bad at first sight, for that price category of software.Tantalus wrote:Greg Lawson showed me this Storyboard software, its called Spring board
have you tested it, Peter? ... and can we draw a camera move through 2 (or more) frames with it ?
