hi all-
i'm using mirage still, so-
anyone know how to skew, distort, fake perspective to a selected bit of art? like if you could cut out an animbrush, and then as well as sizing and rotating, you could pull each corner individually to distort it. photoshop for instance allows one to do that kind of thing to a selected piece of art while you're working with it so you can nudge it around, line it up to the other art. in mirage the only distortion tool i've found only provides handles at the corners of the project frame edges. too much area, and hard to refine it to match the other art. and computer-bogging.
by the way; i'm skewing little bits of text and stamping it on some of the art in the animation.
mirage skew, distort, perspective etc

Hi Charlie,
In Mirage, if you have the Animator's Toolbar 2 installed, you first select a small section of a layer, then press the Web button (spiderweb icon) that lets manipulate that area by pulling grid points and rotating the selected area - it uses a (Wrapping Grid) FXStack effect that does what you want I think.

Re: mirage skew, distort, perspective etc
thanks for the tip-
it looks like its a tool that could work although not yet:
the control nodes don't show up around the whole piece of art so some of it gets clipped. seems to happen regardless of whether something is selected or not. and i haven't found how to position the nodes without activating their distortion power.
ever noticed that?
