Scale unproportionally
Scale unproportionally
Hello
I see I can scale proportionally holding the Z key after doing a CutBrush
but
how do I stretch unproportionally??
Thanks in advance
David

Re: Scale unproportionally
in the Edit Brush panel, keep Lock Aspect Off, and click (enlight) one of the Width, Height [E] gadgets,
then, in the project window, your custom-brush should be sticked at the right_bottom corner of the cursor,
(HUD) click&drag this corner to resize unproportionally, the up-left corner being the pined.

Re: Scale unproportionally
Hi Zigoto
Thanks for you help but this is not what i was looking for.
1-I draw a circle
2-Cut it with the brush
3-Just pressing Z I can scale it up an down directly but just proportionally.
In Mirage it used to be a combination of keys Z plus something else that allowed you to scale proportionally.
Z alone was a free scale.
I'll keep looking!
Thanks anyway:)

I miss the unlocked proportional resizing of the cutbrush too. I used it often in Mirage. Is it called something else in TVP or is it not available?

It still exists, but afaik only via the Edit Brush panel.Svengali wrote:I miss the unlocked proportional resizing of the cutbrush too. I used it often in Mirage. Is it called something else in TVP or is it not available?

the "Brush Resize" command in the shortCut right-list is a proportionnaly Resize,
you're right, we definitively need a "Brush Free-Resize" shortcut.
Re: Scale unproportionally
I didn't see anywhere in the TVP 9 Demo an option added for interactive, UN-proportional resizing of the cutbrush... Is it possible to make a belated request that this be added before the release? I think people will find this rather useful. Thanks.

Re: Scale unproportionally
i'm on tvp 8.6.2 and in mirage i too always use the z key, keeping 'lock aspect' off in the edit panel for quick use scaling unproportionally.
is my only option in this version of tvp to
1)go to 'edit brush'
2) enlighten the 'width/height'
3) apply
every time?
obviously i'd rather not pay hundreds of more dollars for an upgrade right now.

Re: Scale unproportionally
Hi Charlie
The free resize option is only available in the V9 ( brush: Free Resize )
But you can use the + - keys to resize proportionally and the z key to resize unproportionally.
