wow it's been a long long time coming to this. been waiting to jump to tvpaint because mirage has served me so well. to tell the truth i'm still using mirage at this point and am a little hesitant to jump right over for deadline work until i take a few laps around this new environment and hopefully become quickly accustomed to it.
transferring all my preferred panels, scripts etc etc. over if it can be done (keeping fingers crossed)
looking forward to hashing out techniques, problems, and solutions with all of you guys and gals here.
i've been doing storyboards in mirage for the past many years (4? 5?) as well as creating comics and sketchbooks on my own time.
my site (not updated in a while--pardon the lack of updates)

You might want to get the upgrade soon, the 60% off special ends on May 30!metalusion wrote:wow it's been a long long time coming to this. been waiting to jump to tvpaint because mirage has served me so well. to tell the truth i'm still using mirage at this point and am a little hesitant to jump right over for deadline work until i take a few laps around this new environment and hopefully become quickly accustomed to it.

i'm just waiting till i get familiar enough with tvp before doing paid gigs on a deadline with it.

I had a bit of that worry myself but was too curious and impatient to wait. I have no regrets. Here's the thing about the leap: you can still work the Mirage way in TVP. It's not as if you are switching software, and as you work along your old familiar routines, you stumble upon these little delightful surprises that make your heart leap. But I don't know anything about your routine of drawing storyboards, so you shouldn't necessarily listen to me; I'm talking purely about everything an animator will come across and there are no dangers to be afraid of there.
