I think rather "artist wrong", the cats drawing you are refering at
is probably the one from the "sohistu gafu" sketchbook of Hiroshigé (around 1850),
or am I wrong too ..?

unless it's another one, from Utagawa Kuniyoshi ?

The first one, exactly. I thought I had that plate in one of my books, but the search didn't dig it up.

Yes I do.

(here is the good link)
http://www.gobelins.fr/fi/resultats/crfa3-2008-2.htm

But I' m a little bit confused.
I hope that I won't disappoint any professional people I met
if i make the choice to spend one more year at school.

Anyway I'm happy because it were a very successfull year
for me.

Wow! Thanks Tantalus.

I enjoy this picture and tell you that I work once again on an other "Chat noir" project
with the same team.

We are looking for character style designs, so I try to make many sketches before the
begining of my workshop.

This is an extract from my blog.
Guess which one have been made on TVPaint today? it's easy

Wow Rony, that "aplanche" series of character designs on your blog is amazing! i love them all, they really make me want to animate them.
You are a really good designer, can't wait to see them move.
