Yet another orphan......

Post by Dark Overlord »

Hello from yet another orphan.

Looks like I'm going to be orphaned a bit longer though, as it looks from other posts that upgrading is going to set me back around 700+ USD.... OUCH.

:D Welcome! :D

I never owned Mirage, so I don't know what it was like as a software - but I can tell you from the demo of TVPaint 8.5 - it is REALLY powerful and stable software. Buying it was a bit of a financial leap for me too - but I believe it is well worth it.

Welcome, fellow orphan!

I just did the upgrade from Mirage and it was quite a bit less than $700. It's worth it, though. Lots of new goodies.

thanks, got it. A currency converter indicates I'm looking at something to the tune of 587.00 or so, assuming I can manage this before the end of the month......

Just curious, Fabrice, you've been around with TV Paint since the Amiga days am I right?

In fact, I began to use TVPaint on Amiga with TVPaint 3.6 in an Amiga computer shop near my hometown.
Later, during my studies, I was working with Aura 1.0 demo (the export option was enabled for psd files, which was enough for my needs)
Once freelance, I bought Mirage because it was really cheap (no need to buy separately Photoshop, Premiere, After Effect, etc ... the software was a all-in-one ;) )
A few time later, I wrote all manuals for TVP Animation 8.0 and 8.5
Finally, I have made several demos during some events like the Annecy Festival and then was hired here.

I also took part of other projects like the firsts Japan-Expo in France and the SPS: Software Preservation Society (previously named CAPS)
