Align Left & Right
I can't get this function to work either with the designated buttons on the Animator Panel or the drop down menu in the layer panel. What could be going wrong? I can make it work from dhomas trenn's ToolBox so it's not my computer system.

You need to select the layers you want to align before you can apply the function.
Standard multi-selection keys are used : shift, ctrl.
Click on the layer icon to select, double-click to select all layers.
Selected layers have a yellow frame around the icon.
(Paul, I know you are aware about the layer selection method, but I'm sure this post may be useful to new TVPaint user, so I try to give more informations.)

Re: Align Left & Right
well it does work here, but differently I think :
- I make my current frame the frame (timeline position) where I want the alignement,
- I select the layers I want to align,
- hit the [align to left] button > it will align all the selected layers, heads on the current frame,
- hit the [align to right] button > it will align all the selected layers, ends on the current frame.

Re: Align Left & Right
Got it! Thanks to both of you. It's different from what I had been using.

Re: Align Left & Right
Zig, I just got to use your way in a real situation. It's clever. I usually know where I want to move something and with long timelines it's a bitch to drag on frame all over the place until you land where you need to land. This is one of those useful nothings that make life a pleasure.
