Hello all,
I purchased a new computer Mac mini M4 and I am running TVPaint 12. Everything works really well, it seems stable, I can render movies but noticed an issue worth reporting.
If my computer goes to sleep while running TVPaint, when I wake the computer to go back to work there is a license issue. A window pops up telling me my license has been "deactivated remotely". It does allow me to save my work and then TVP shuts down. I just have to open TVPaint again and load my last save. There is no need to do anything with code meter everything works fine when I start the program again. (Screen shot of message attached below.)
It is obviously early days with the new Mac M4s there are bound to be little things but over all it is great. This is an annoyance more than a major issue as it allows you to save so I am not in danger of losing work. Just wanted it to be known. Might be an issue with code meter and not TVPaint, not sure.
On a side note I had previously had line issues with TVP12 on my old computer. No such issues at all with this new one, lines look beautiful and smooth! Looking forward to playing with all the new features in 12. Thanks!

Re: License Issue awaking from sleep TVP12 MacM4
I had the same thing just happen with TVPaint 11.7.4 . (which has never happened before)
The message says "Your license has been remotely deactivated . Please save your work before TVPaint Animation closes".
I save the work and TVPaint closes.
But then if I reopen TVPaint it opens as normal and I can re-load the project and continue.
This has never happened before today. I am on an older Intel chip Mac (Mac Mini 2018) so I don't think the issue has anything to do with
it being a M4 Mac.

Hi,
Just to tell you that we are aware of this issue, which happens when leaving sleep mode on a Mac.
We've been unable to make it happen on our side so far.
The license isn't deactivated, it's just that when leaving sleep mode, I suspect that the software is too fast to request if the license is valid and tries to do it before other applications (Codemeter for example) is "awake".
//EDIT: David, can you tell me if that happens after you leave sleep mode, just to be sure?

Yes, I believe that is the only time I have noticed this error, when I left TVPaint open and the computer went to sleep. Usually at the end of my work day I save all open projects and quit TVPaint , so that is likely why I have not noticed this bug before.Thierry wrote: ↑16 Dec 2024, 10:56 Hi,
