Save/backup Config without exiting Tvpaint
Is it possible to save/update your config without closing Tvpaint? For background I use "last used configuration" in the startup menu, and often I am ending up with crashes while doing various things and losing changes to brushes/custom panels etc. So I have had to resort to not only saving frequently, but also exiting out of Tvpaint so my config saves, and am wondering if there is a way around that.

you can copy it from the AppData folder
it would be nice to streamline switching configs... to make sharing them easier.C:\Users\#####\AppData\Roaming\TVPaint Animation 12 Pro Beta\default

Re: Save/backup Config without exiting Tvpaint
Hi Peter, thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't seem to do what I need. That method backs up the config as it exists when you open Tvpaint, but not the current edits/changes you have made while in your current session. Those seem to save only on exiting(things like new panels, adjustments to the brush profiles etc.) which is why they aren't there on a reopen after a crash. I realize panels etc. can be exported as one way around some of the loss, but it's also a bit of a hassle to export/re-import so often when you are trying to make incremental changes to test out and are getting crashes. Over the past few days I have been working on some brushes and running into a frequent crash after drawing right after adjusting the profile editor. Not enough that I can recreate it consistently, but still frequently enough that I am losing a bunch of info when it happens and it's rather frustrating to have to close out the program often to avoid it.
Maybe it would need to be a feature/suggestion to be able to save/export your config as it currently is on demand as it happens when you exit? Not sure if other people think that would be useful enough for a request.

Re: Save/backup Config without exiting Tvpaint
I agree. it would be a great feature to save your current state config while running TVpaint.
It would give more grip on what is happening with your config and also make it much more convenient to share configs with other people.
I support this feature request!

+1
Agreed! Backing up the current state of Config during a session is a missing option.
How it would work is worth discussing too.
Manually, click to provisionally save current settings as they would be if I exited now.
Automatically, by default, update every five minutes or update after any change or?
Also, perhaps an option to return to an earlier Config when things during current session have gone wrong or after making inadvertent deletions?
