Hello, the crashes are not experienced by all Mac users, but in case they happen, it is advised to revert back to 11.7.1.

I am experiencing similar random crashes as well. I have TV Paint 11.7.3, I didn’t have the issue with TV Paint 11.7.2.

Gonna see if that works. Both Versions show 11.7.2 In the About Window but I think they are 11.7.3 and 11.7.2... Where can I get a hold of 11.7.1? I can't seem so select older versions in the downloads section.

Sorry for the double post. The only reset setting I can find is under the Interface tab next to Color scheme. On the Startup panel I can't find the Reset Configuration button anywhere.

OK I figured that I had to create a new profile. After about 10min of testing it turns out that it crashes even more than the old one. :| I don't know what it is but this software hates my computer... or me for that matter.

Hello, I responded to your email.
Some users seem to get rid of the crashes by going back to 11.7.2 while some need to use 11.7.1, we have a few leads on this situation but thorough testing is going to take some time.

Hello again. Thank you for the quick download link and help. From the few days I worked with the old version it already seems way way more stable than both 11.7.2 nad 11.2.3. Honestly! I hope this keeps working like this :)

If it helps you in tracking down the source of the problem, I will note that with versions 11.7.1, 11.7.2, and 11.7.3 I have not experienced any crashing behavior , but I am on an older Intel chip Mac (Mac Mini 2018) running OS 12 Monterey. Does the crashing issue only happen on the newer Macs with the M1 or M2 chip and/or with the newer OS versions Ventura and Sonoma ? (I'm partially asking because Apple pesters me constantly with "UPDATE reminders" urging me to update my OS from Monterey to Sonoma ... but these reports of unusual crashing make me think I should continue to hold off on the update and stick with Monterey for now ...)

Hello David, most of the users experiencing the crashes seem to be using M1/M2 chips, but the big majority of ARM Macs is not having them.
Also, a few non-ARM Macs have reported crashes too.

Has this Mac bug been fixed for the new version 12? I don't want to upgrade only to have it constantly crash.

I downloaded the trial to see if there was an improvement but it crashed repeatedly for me. Personally, I have started to regret purchasing this software, with it barely being usable with the crashing and prior to that the lagging because of running through Rosetta. I love the software, but the number of bugs, the extremely slow move to make it native on new Mac hardware, and this crashing bug has me considering other options. I’m definitely going to have to think long and hard about giving TVPaint anymore of my money. They just don’t feel very committed to the Mac platform.
