Hi hi!
I have getting to a point here and there for a while now, and it's grown over the year, but it would be really nize if i had more light table frames to work with.
10 frames isn't enough anymore, and I can't say for other users, but it would been a perfect nize improvement if you could add this for the next update!?
Eg... the best way would had been if i could choose my own frame number in the menu somewhere or in the preferences. Tho if you decide to add this, the light table can be wider than the screen...
This is a nize improvement that would help me a lot...
With hope!

Re: More light table frames!?
you can already do this.
First mark the frames of interest with an image marker and set the lightable to "Mode Image Mark"

Interesting ! I did not know that was possible by setting light table to Mode Image Mark (or if I did know it at one time, I forgot it).Peter Wassink wrote: ↑22 Apr 2024, 10:46 you can already do this.

Gotta love a tool that after +4K posts on its forum will still surprise you with its features...
Or as is increasingly often the case with me... worry about my memory

Yes! I know about the Mode, but im using the colours for other reasons. Tho i am using bookmark instead for that purpose time to time, but this is not what i am asking or looking for. Regardless Mode you are using there is still a limitation of using 10 frames totally simultaneously. You will not get more frames at hand just because you are using bookmarks or one of the other Modes.Peter Wassink wrote: ↑22 Apr 2024, 10:46 you can already do this.

Literally i would like to be able adding more frames in the Light Table area if needed. Say for example... that i would like have 20, 40 or why not 50 more frames each side to work with... That would help and improve my workflow very VERY much. And i do hope this will help others too!?
10 frames could always be minimum and defualt, which the person could both "add" and "reduce" the light table frames whenever it is needed...
This is a nize improvement i believe in a lot and hope others will too!

I just try to imagine what you can see in 30 overlapping images. I'm confused with 5 already. If I do something which requires me to keep track of more positions (like a flying object), I'll create a guide image instead.

Re: More light table frames!?
I agree with Markus,
adding extra lighttable frames over the current 10 per side, only adds UI complexity and takes UI-space without adding much extra benefit.
In most basic inbetweening cases, you'll usually only need 1 or 2 max on each side
So 10 per side is more than enough for most cases.
So in rare cases you feel you need more, for instance for checking arcs in longer sequence...
as Markus pointed out, you can draw a path with spacing on a separate layer to do this.
Though i probably would not object, if the team offered to make it a preference setting to choose between a 20 and 40 frame lighttablepanel.
(although i'm not sure... as it would be one ugly panel ) thinking about the teams todo list... that is not a realistic request.

Mind you, I didn't mock your personal needs, it just doesn't work for me. Maybe you could post a screenshot of that situation so we see what you're at?
