TVPaint Animation 11.7.2 is available!

I recently re-installed 11.7.2 and reset the config like Dean had suggested. Before when I did the same, it would crash again, but this time I didn't load my shortcuts after resetting the config, instead I had to change my shortcuts manually. Also I didn't load all the brush tools I used to have. Maybe one of that did the trick? I haven't had a crash for a couple of days, fingers crossed it continues this way.

Yes, that could be it. I will put it on this thread again if it crashes but otherwise amazing work by the developers! Can't thank you enough for the software!

Perhaps it would be a good idea to publish a list of the changes made to the shortcut names and the addition of the new shortcuts in 11.7.2 , so people can make the adjustments to their personal set of shortcuts to avoid any conflicts?

I have deleted all the config files and did a clean install for the past few weeks of working.

Hello,

Did you try to use any of your old tools or tried to reload old shortcuts? For me that was causing the crashes, for now I have manually added my shortcuts again and not using all of the tools that I used to, by tools I mean different brushes. I have not had any crashes, fingers crossed.

Hi! hope all is well! Tried resetting the config as noted and crashes still happen after 15 min or so. Will revert back to the previous version in the meantime. Thanks again for any help or info for this issue. Take care!

I am using a Galaxy Tab S9+ and I have had the previous version (11.7.1.51961) installed and working (though missing tool box icons).

When I tried installing the update today (11.7.2.51961) I got the message - Unsafe app blocked, 'This app was built for an older version of android and doesn't include the latest privacy protections.'
I click 'Install anyway' but it throws an error saying 'App not installed as app isn't compatible with your phone.'
Trying to reinstal the previous version has the same issue.
It may be circumstantial but Samsung updated their OneUi to version 6.0 today could this be preventing TVP from installing?

same problem with v11.7.2.7976 android on a Samsung Galaxy Tabs S9+ (running Android 14 + OneUI6).
Unable to install the apk with 'App not installed as app isn't compatible with your phone.'
is the apk working on android 14 or is it specific to this tablet model ?

Then when you are logged in , scroll down to Downloads > My Software. Download the latest version (11.7.2 , published December 5th, 2023) .

Thank you! Do I need to install CodeMeter again? Is it not already in my computer from the first time I installed it with TVPaint?
EDIT: nevermind! xD I installed CodeMeter again.

I was hoping that this update will bring back the basic "Save and Quit" from the past. These new versions Only have "Save", "Quit", "Cancel". Sometimes I'd like to save everything just as I'm about to close.

I'm having the same problems on an S6 Lite and an S9 Ultra, both running Android 14 and OneUI 6.0. Unfortunately using the Android version is a major part of my workflow. Is there any idea on a fix for this? Thank you TVPaint team for all the hard work.

Hello,

Regarding the crashes, could you have a look if there’s any bug regarding opening the last saved project directly? For a while 11.7.2 worked fine for me, yesterday I switched on , open last opened project in the settings and it crahsed after sometime. Until then, it was working fine.
