TVP 11.7 crashes when drawing on TimeLine Canvas

So here was I just starting a storyboard for a music video I've been comissioned... and I begin by doing what I always do, drawing the notes in the canvas in the "Clip: Timeline" canvas bellow the actual canvas.

But everytime I begin, it crashes the whole program. This has been preventing me to properly work in my workflow, I don't recall any fo the previous versions having this. What can I do to fix? Can I even revert back to TVP 11.5? Considering all of the problems I had reactivating it for 11.7?

Perhapos it could be due to having a sound file on it? I tried now without having a sound file and it works, but without audio its pointless.
