Hello- I'm a newish user to TVPaint & I feel like I've stumbled into something that is likely very easy to fix, but I'm having a lot of trouble finding solutions, even searching within this community.
A lot of functions within TVPaint require you to right click, unfortunately I'm using Mac OSX, which has no right click. In most applications the workaround is to use ctrl+click, sometimes even alt+click, but doing so in TVPaint doesn't seem to do anything for me.
I'm simply trying to duplicate a layer following the instructions on the video tutorials (which specify a right click in the layer name) & I cannot get right click to happen for me. Anyone know what very simple thing I'm doing wrong? I'm sure there are other ways to duplicate the layer, but what I'm searching for here is how to right click, bc it comes up in the TVPaint documentation quite often.
Thank you in advance for your time & help.

Re: Right Click Mac Os X
Hi,
That's not quite true. I'm a Mac user and I use Right-Click. My two-button Logitech mouse lets me right-click and so does my bluetooth Apple Magic Mouse . What kind of mouse are you using ?
You said you want to duplicate a layer. So when I want to duplicate a layer I just click on the layer name with my right mouse button and the menu pops up with option to Duplicate layer.
I don't need to Ctrl+Click to do that.
If you have an Apple Magic Mouse , in the System Preferences for Mouse enable Secondary Click and make it Right-Click. Then by clicking on the upper right side of your Magic Mouse you will get Right-Click function.

Or I use my Wacom pen for a right-click. My lower pen button is set to Right-Click, so I just push on the lower pen button and tap on the interface where I want to bring up a menu or perform some function that requires right-click.
After setting the pen button to Right-Click now click on Options.
In Options enable Click and Tap.

Re: Right Click Mac Os X
Yes. Layer menu at the top - select Duplicate LayerI'm sure there are other ways to duplicate the layer,
Or in Shortcuts configure a shortcut key to Layer: Duplicate. In the example I've set my V key to Layer: Duplicate.
(you can use whatever unassigned key you prefer)
But you can get right-click to duplicate layers or whatever else needs right-click functionality using your mouse by enabling Secondary Click (Right Click) in the System Preferences if you're using an Apple Magic Mouse , or using a basic "universal" mouse like this Logitech B100 Corded Mouse https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003L62T7W/ .
