TVPaint and Windows 11
I probably don't want to upgrade straight away, but has TVPaint already been tested with Windows 11?

Hello,
We haven't tested TVPaint with Windows 11 yet, so upgrading is not recommended for the time being.

Just to revisit this topic. Is there currently some testing planed? I don't want to update right away, but it would probably be nice to know if there are some issues.

Re: TVPaint and Windows 11
Hello Schwarzgrau, a few users have installed W11 and seem to have no issue, be it with Safenet or WIBU licenses.
However, we recommend waiting a few months before upgrading to this new OS, of course internal testing is planned.

Re: TVPaint and Windows 11
I've recently upgraded to Windows 11 and things ran fine until the recent 22H2 update. Suddenly I had problems with both my ancient 9.5 version and the version 11 demo when using a Cintiq, but quickly found that the problem could be resolved by switching off WinTab in 9.5 and switching from WinTab to Ink in the v11 demo. Now everything works as expected. I just wanted to let everyone know to give this a try if you experience any such problems.
Re: TVPaint and Windows 11
Hello v.veidt, yup this is the first thing one should try to do when having tablet issues in a drawing software!
We still cannot recommend switching to Windows 11 at the moment, though. Since it was released only 1 year ago, too many problems are still present, not only with TVPaint

Re: TVPaint and Windows 11
I have been working with win 11 and tvp from the start without problems. I am not aware of any major issues still unsolved, i think others can confirm.

Re: TVPaint and Windows 11
In October, Windows 11 will be 2 years old, I think it is mostly okay now, as some issues TVPaint and other drawing software could encounter were patched.
We noticed that a recent W11 update seems to have altered how Windows Ink is handled. In case you encounter an issue with pen pressure or using your stylus' buttons in TVPaint, remember that you can switch from Ink to Wintab from the General tab of the TVPaint Preferences at any time.

Re: TVPaint and Windows 11
So far Windows 11 has been terrible. Huion with "Wintab" means crazy horizontal lines, "ink" means no pressure senstivity. Cintiq gets no craziness but no pressure sensitivity either way. Tried changing all settings in Tablet PC settings, Wacom Tablet properties, and Pen and Touch. Will be going back to Windows 10 once I've wasted more than 8 hours trying to fix this.
Re: TVPaint and Windows 11
Hello, another thing that I forgot to mention previously is that some driver files might be lost when upgrading your Windows 10 to 11, so a complete reinstall of the driver could help.
This is the first time I read about no drawing option working correctly for TVP on Win11, hence I'm guessing that the issue is maybe driver related.

Re: TVPaint and Windows 11
AHHHHHHH FOUND IT! Took about 4 hours, everything was screwy, had to switch back and forth between Windows Ink "on" and "off" to toggle between pressure sensitivity and right-click functionality, and just started clicking checkboxes, and randomly the "subpixel" box solved everything FTW!! Not sure what it's supposed to mean but to me it was the magical "fix everything" box, I'm back to Windows 10 functionality. Thanks to TV Paint for whoever created the magical box!!

Re: TVPaint and Windows 11
Similar pb here but I can't resolve it
I have a laptop ProArt studiobook with it's own Asus stylus and I occasionally plug my wacom cintiq pro 16 on it, using tvp 11.7.1
With windows ink I don't have a right click (that i use to erase/zoom) but I have pressure sensitivity. With wintab (no matter if I check subpixels) I don't get pressure nor a right click (which makes me think that the wintab driver is nowhere to be found for my computer model since it seems that it's not supported anymore by windows)
Is there something to do? :')
