HI,
When I import png there is no transparency even if there was when exporting it from Clip Studio Paint.
What could be the problem?

Wrong export from CSP. Check the settings there.

To build on Slowtiger's answer , did you turn off the white "paper" background in CSP ?
Here are the settings I used for exporting a transparent PNG from CSP . It works fine when imported to TVPaint.

Re: import png with transparency
Thanks for your answers.
I did some testing.
I use the same settings you have in CSP. I have done this many many times and it always worked.
I tested to when importing into TVpaint to change "alpha" to PreMult. even if I got a warning window saying that this setting is not recommended for this kind of image, But then the transparency worked.
Strange.
But Glad I found a way to do it finally.

Re: import png with transparency
Interesting. I get the same results when importing the PNG from CSP to TVPaint , whether I have the Import window in TVPaint set to PreMultiply or No PreMultiply. (I did get the warning pop-up, but it made no difference in the image that was imported).hellofilms wrote: ↑31 May 2023, 19:31 Thanks for your answers.

Re: import png with transparency
Hi,
Strange.
At first when it did not work the Alpha was set to "Guess". I thought TVpaint would see the ttransparency but it did not. So I had to set it to "PreMultiply".
