Changing background color of clickable buttons

I am not sure exactly what settings I changed or when, but somehow between closing and opening TVpaint from one day to the next, all the backgrounds on a number of the icons that can be clicked on/checked etc. are black. Please see screen shot below with a red arrow pointing to a couple of them as an example.

I have gone through the entire list of options you can change(including changing each individual color that can be changed on the second drop down menu under color scheme) under preferences > Interface > Color Scheme and nothing seems to affect this. Also If i do a fresh reinstall or delete my config it is back to a normal where the black boxes are the same as the "Panel Background" color, so it is not some other system setting outside of TVpaint affecting things.

Can anyone point me to what determines this color? It's not a huge thing but it is annoying suddenly having your interface look different for no apparent reason.

Hello, which version of TVPaint 11 are you using, please (can be found in Help > About TVPaint).
Also, could you post your config.cfg file for comparison, please?

On Windows, it can be found in Appdata\Roaming\tvp animation\default
On MacOS, the file is located in Library\tvp animation 11\default

Sorry forgot about that, I was using TVP 11.7 when I first noticed it, and upgraded to 11.7.1 yesterday and there is the same problem.
