Says I have no license when I try to open tv paint but my license is activated

Hi! so I currently went through all the steps yesterday to get everything installed properly and I finally got it all activated and everything looked ready to go until I tried to open tv paint and it said no license found despite it being activated already. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have a Mac and a standard tv paint version (dongle-less).
