Looking for Feedback

Post by Diesel »

Hello Everyone!

I am new to this forum. I am a fan of vintage 2D animation (WB). I have dabbled with Flash MX and started to play with Toon Boom and didn't catch the "bug" I liked what people did with Mirage but can't get a copy.

It was suggested that I try TV Paint. I figured you fine folks would tell me that is a good desicion! Should I download the basic version and give it a spin?

I should point out I am no master artist or animation wizard. But I did come up with some silly little cartoons basically just to try my hand at it. Now I am thinking I may want to get more serious. I would ultimately like to burn a broadcast quality animation short on to a DVD.

Any input would be appreciated! :D

Absolutely !

I think you'll love it . If you love to draw and animate with pencil and paper or pens , paintbrush, , any natural media you will appreciate how those can be simulated in TVPaint Animation .

I had no motivation to learn to draw on the wacom tablet until I tried two things: Sketchbook Pro and TVPaint (the version I knew first was called "Mirage" ; then I found out about the improved version called TVPaint ) . Now I am very happy drawing in a paperless environment with this program.
