Hey!
First time posting here.
I'm a newly TVPaint 11.5 user, and a veteran TVP 10 enthusiastic.
I was stumbling an irritating issue (to say the least) while editing and replacing frames between different layers.
Every time I'm pasting copied images or even just delete an image on a layer, the entire layer will move the same number of deleted/pasted images on the timeline.
Any ideas?
Does anybody else confront the same issue?

Re: Layer content issues
Are you trying to COPY the frames into an existing layer on the timeline (replacing the current frames occupying that portion of the timeline) or
INSERT the frames into an existing layer , thereby extending the length of the layer when the frames are inserted ?
See the attached screen capture , which first shows the result of INSERT and then COPY.

I'm just copy-pasting it, I wish there would be an option where the entire layer won't move as a result, but I guess that inserting while dragging the frames from one layer to another works too.
Thank you!
Re: Layer movement while pasting and deleting frames
Hi, I'm also having this issue.
Isn't there a way to paste regulary without draging (and without the layer moving)?
I use this copy paste alot, and sometimes draging a single frame acrros layers and frames makes me lose the spot I wanted to paste it.
For the delete,
I managed to find a solution to the delete option with this keyboard shortcut:
Del -> Layer: Delete Image (Fill gap from right)

Re: Layer content issues
Using INSERT will add the selected frames to the existing timeline , thereby extending the layer length.
Using COPY will use the selected frames to overwrite the existing frames on the timeline , and the layer length will stay the same.

Re: Layer movement while pasting and deleting frames
For the ones who used to work on the 11.0, please check this : viewtopic.php?f=10&t=14032
By default the v11.5.0 is configured by default to work 'as before' : when you cut or delete, the frames at the right shall move backwards to fill the gap.
You can have preview the deletion modes with a right click in the timeline (Delete from Layer).
I would advise you to try the "stay put" mode for a generic usage, since it never changes the frame positions in the layer.
For the newcomers, with the 11.5.0 you have now different deletion modes that you can configure, as mentioned by David.D.T. Nethery wrote: ↑10 Jan 2021, 15:04 This conversation may be of interest to you: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=13621

I'm interested to know : what differences do you see in the copy-paste behaviour of the 11.5 release compared to the 10.5 ?shachamrr wrote: ↑09 Jan 2021, 21:13 Every time I'm pasting copied images or even just delete an image on a layer, the entire layer will move the same number of deleted/pasted images on the timeline.
