(Win10) Updated to 11.5 - now, the dongle is not working anymore
Hey,
I updated to 11.5 but now, the dongle is no longer recognized. Yes, I read before about that 11.5 is now dongleless (Yeah!), but it still asks for the dongle and doesn't recognize it anymore.
What can I do? Luckily I stored the previous version of TVP, should I go back?

But if you did not switch to dongleless version then your dongle should still be recognized. Hopefully someone from TVPaint will respond to you soon.

So, you're using a SuperPro/UltraPro dongle, right ?
First things first, please try reinstalling your dongle driver while keeping the dongle unplugged : https://supportportal.thalesgroup.com/c ... =KB0019063
Then you'd need to ensure that your dongle is properly detected by Windows. You may ensure that the dongle is recognized with this utility : https://supportportal.thalesgroup.com/c ... =KB0019068
It's not related to your version of TVPaint, but the TVPaint setup automatically installs the driver for your dongle... so something may have happened at this stage.

No, I don't think. In my account I got only the 11.5 dongle version offered. I hoped there is the other on, without dongle, but was not there.Did you actually switch over to the dongleless license ?

Have you tried restarting your computer ?

- close TVPaint
- unplug your dongle
- uninstall the safenet driver
- reboot
- reinstall the driver
- plug your dongle
- start TVPaint

I did it now exactly as you discribed, but nothing changed. Sam give the same results and TVPaint is still asking for the dongle.

OK, now I fixed it.
I installed TVPaint totally new (without Dongle Drivers) and now, it works. Don't know, what happened.

hey! I also had trouble with updating to TVP11.5
In the end, I managed to fix it but I still have o use the dongle in order to start the software
is there a solution to make it dongle-less?
I do not see in my account an option to download a dongle-less software

I'm experiencing this same issue after updating to 11.5 this morning and haven't been able to solve it using any of the suggestions in here.
What worked for those of you who got it fixed? Or are there other things I can try to fix it so I can get back to work?
