I ran into a config file corruption just the day before yesterday.
I was recreated the setting folder. I attach the troubled setting folder.

When I updated to 11.5 TVPaint wouldn't start because it said that it couldn't find the dongle (it was plugged in and I tried everything) . Does that count as a crash as well?
I have since gone back to the previous version of TVPaint because I couldn't afford to spend too much time rearranging my configuration.

Hi Sewie, no I'm afraid it doesn't count. Have you tried just to start with a fresh new config to see if it works ?
Or you can enable the startup panel to choose your config folder at startup. Go to Edit>Preferences>Startup (tab)>Startup configuration, choose "Open Startup Panel" from the dropdown menu and restart TVPaint.
