This section is dedicated to the feature & improvement requests (be sure what you are asking does not exist yet in TVPaint Animation ;) )

So you agree with the request to exempt all tools from Zoom: flip

Post by Peter Wassink »

Please exempt all tools from flipping along with the project display when "Zoom: flip" is activated:

now a flip horizontal also flips the tool... no good!

we like to keep our tool the way it was! yes!

It's harder to fix than expected, because the custom brushes have flip settings as well as the zoom. I won't be able to make it for the next release, but it is planned for the future 11.5.1 !

Perhaps this has already been suggested, but for what its worth...?

I setup a "Flip Image button" with two commands that seems to restore/maintain the brush's current orientation anytime the frame is flipped horizontally using the button, but it may not play well with other operations.

Key:Zoom:Toggle Flip Keeping Position

Yes you're right, it is better to add a check box that defines the behaviour of the brush (to flip or not to flip the brush when the zoom is flipped). Good idea !

We try to catchup on our delay. I know that it's been long and the expectation level is high, I'll try my best for the release branch 11.5 !
TVPaint is a small family that has been torn apart in 2018. Now we can say that we're back on tracks. (though it's true that this question, like others, has been unresolved for longer than that !)
