Making an Outer Stroke on a layer without AntiAliasing.
Hi all. Pardon if this question has already been asked in the past but I'm struggling to create an outer stroke (border) on a layer without AntiAliasing. Is there a way to do this rather than redrawing an entire layer?
Thank you. Re: Making an Outer Stroke on a layer without AntiAliasing.
Create the stroke, then apply Threshold?

Thank you, slowtiger.
I have no idea whether I selected the correct FX regarding the term "threshold", but I've managed to get it to work by using the following:
FX: Border > Not
FX: Histogram - Alpha > Midtone top set to 1 and Midtone bottom set to 254.
If this wasn't what you meant, could you please elaborate further and lend me your guidance to where I can find threshold for next time? Thank you.

What you want to do is turn off antialiasing later?
In Japan, work to turn off anti-aliasing for Paint is done every day, and I asked TVPaint to add that function with "Scan cleaner: color" FX.
This FX is based on paper material. The original purpose is to work on an image with a white background and adjust the extraction with Stroke Intensity.
Please check the image below. I hope your goals match.

Hi Hironori, and thank you for the scan FX tip. It'll come in use for paper no doubt!
Personally I always work with no anti-aliasing, but when it comes to applying a border stroke around a silhouette (usually SPFX/VFX and all drawn digitally), it defaults to an anti-aliasing stroke which then needs to be given FX treatment. It'd be great to include this optional feature in an update for the border FX.

I understand your intent is "to thicken the line with antialiasing off".
In Boder FX, there is no anti-aliasing off option as you said,
Expand FX has a antialiasing option, but it seems that antialiasing-check-off is not "no antialiasing".
Certainly, it's useful to have it as a feature.
