New tests using TVPaint

Post by lam giang »

Hello everyone,

Haven't been active on this forum awhile; And this morning I spent few hours to just browsing through different forums and topics to keep myself up to date. I was supper excited to see the little clip of Annie Awards 45th! And feeling inspired with all the Made with TVPaint animations.
I also want to share some of the quick tests I did in TVPaint that using exiting old artworks. Some of them are really quick and simple to just let myself get used to the FX menu in TVP. Some of them are loop animations just for fun. I hope you all have a good laugh when watch them. And welcome for feedbacks and share your techniques :)

These all look great, Lam!

It would be great to know how you did the smoke in the first steampunk gif.

@ Cardin Collins: I was just trying thing out in FX menu. I adjusted dif setting here and there until it looks nice but I will try to find my old TVPaint file and do some screen shots later. That sounds good?

Oh no need to go through that trouble, sir! The explanation is sufficient for me :).

Again, great stuff. Your color palettes and animations never fail to impress!

thank for the compliment!
I found the file. I did some screen shots. Not sure how much it helps, but who knows :)
For the smoke effect at the bottom, I was trying to create a fire with smoke for other thing, but I color_adjusted it to white to turn it into smoke. I also later added god light into the composition and using fade in and out FX for that.
I guess that is it.

Here are some FX screen shots
