I recently got a new iMac with a 4K screen, and it seems that TVpaint doesn't use the screen to it's full potential. It seems like it's treating it like it's a 1080p screen, which makes it quite pixellated. Changing the UI size to 2x doesn't help. Do I have any settings wrong? here are some screenshots (zooming in will reveal that the top bar on my screen is much sharper than the top bar of the program):

You use a standard version of TVPaint, which is a 32bits software.I recently got a new iMac with a 4K screen, and it seems that TVpaint doesn't use the screen to it's full potential.
Retina screen on MacOS can only be managed in 64bits software.
32bits application always open in "low resolution mode" on Retina screen. Unfortunatelly, it cannot be avoided and that's why it is pixellated, sorry.
You use a 64bits version and it is pixellated ?I have the same problem.
Please, can you post some screenshots if possible ?

It's kind of hard to show. So i created a 1920x1080px jpg in Ilustrator with a 960x540px black rectangle and opened it in TVP and Photoshop. The scaling in TVP defeats the purpose of the high resolution.
i tried the open in low resolution option already, btw. The screenshots:

You have the "open in low resolution" box checked in the "show info" panel, unchecking that should fix it! Seems that i need to upgrade to pro edition to fix it for me, have been considering it anyway so this is one more reason I guess.Johannes wrote: ↑09 Mar 2018, 15:53 It's kind of hard to show. I send back that cintiq pro 16 and am working with the cintiq from 2008, problem solved. But will there be a scalable ui in the future, on mac? I still cannot use the art pen rotation in this setup.
