Who would have guessed we would be at this level 15 or even 25 years ago ?
Thanks guys, we are honored to receive this Award, it was pretty much unexpected. It has a very important meaning.
The whole team and I keep in mind that it's mainly because of all of you (forum users, customers, beta-testers, etc.), since you keep giving us advices to improve the TVPaint technology.
We will do our best to keep going in this way and make the life of 2D animators easier.
And TVP really is in good company there. The Annie website is a mess, they seem to not even have a complete archive of their own awards, but I could spot Toonboom (booh!), Maya, Flash (2008), besides the more esoteric in-house software packages of the big studios.

yes, it's hard to find who won the Ub Iwerks Award.
I might be wrong, but from what I remember : there are also : Disney, Dreamworks, Pixar and Google.
This award is not given every year and it exists since 1999 only.
"Past recipients of this award include Dr. Ed Catmull for his breakthrough technologies at Pixar, Scott Johnston for his innovative work in Looney Tunes: Back in Action, Digital Domain, Inc. for their groundbreaking innovations in Titanic, and Eric Daniels for the development of the 'Deep Canvas' process for Walt Disney's Tarzan."
