QT H264 compressor won't save animation on export.
the export progress bar is on for a short flash and then the progress panel disappears.
the result: an exported Quicktime file that is only one frame long ( and i did make sure to select animation)
in contrast, QT H263 does work, but i would prefer to work with 264.
what could be the problem here?

i figured out how to 'sort of' fix this
the first time i tried to export a PAL (720X576) project into a 600x480 resolution
now i left the original PAL size and it did work
is this a restriction of the codec?
should there not be some warning?
or is there still some other cause possible?
